Ward visitors

  • In line with MOH’s latest COVID-19 safety measures for hospitals to safeguard the vulnerable patient population, a vaccination-differentiated safe management measures (VDS) visitation approach for hospital wards has been implemented from 22 November 2021. • Each patient may receive up to 2 visits (limited to 30 minutes per visit) per day, with a maximum of 1 pre-registered visitor or caregiver at the bedside at any one time during visiting hours
  • Caregivers or visitors are not allowed to eat or drink, sit on patients' beds and use patients' toilets in the wards
  • All visitors, regardless of vaccination status, will need to be ART tested within 24 hours before visiting. All tests are to be self-funded by the visitor. Visitors who are fully vaccinated or medically ineligible for vaccination may show photo proof of their unsupervised self-swab ART result, preferably taken with their NRIC and be dated and time-stamped. Visitors who are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated (if allowed to visit) will be required to do their ART at MOH-approved COVID-19 test providers (check The following groups of visitors will be exempted from pre-visit testing:
