Updates on Ward Visitor Policy
effective from 26 April 2022

Ward visitors

In line with MOH’s latest COVID-19 safe management measures to protect vulnerable patients in the hospital setting from possible infection risk, we have put in place the following visitor management measures:

  • Visitation is not allowed at Restricted Wards.
  • Fully vaccinated patients may receive visitors.
  • Non-fully vaccinated patients may receive up to 2 pre-registered visitors for the entire admission period.
  • Each patient, regardless of vaccination status, may have a maximum of 2 visitors at the bedside at any one time during visiting hours.
  • Caregivers or visitors are not allowed to eat or drink, sit on patients' beds and use patients' toilets in the wards.
  • Caregivers or visitors who are in close contact with a case of COVID-19 infection will only be allowed entry by showing photo evidence of a self-swab ART negative result obtained within the last 24 hours.
  • As part of social responsibility, all visitors are encouraged to do a COVID-19 self-test prior to visiting patients in wards.
Hospital ward visits are not social activities but are out of necessity for patients’ recovery. We thank you for your understanding.

As part of our COVID-19 measures, ward visitors are required to

  • register on-site at the hospital
  • complete their health declaration

Visiting hours

  • 12 - 2 pm and
  • 5 - 8 pm

Precautionary measures for ward visitors

  • Ward visitors must bring their own masks and ensure that the mask is worn at all times.
  • Caregivers or visitors are encouraged to maintain a safe distance of 1 metre from others.
  • Caregivers or visitors are encouraged to refrain from communicating and interacting with other patients or visitors in the ward.
  • Caregivers or visitors are not allowed to eat or drink, sit on patients’ beds and use patients’ toilets in the wards.
